Golf d'Arcangues

Come to a land of Arcangues family and enjoy the breathtaking view
of the Pyrenees mountains during your play.

HISTORY

The Golf d’Arcangues was created in the 1990’s by the brothers Guy and Jean d’Arcangues and drawn by an American architect Ronald Fream. It is part of the second generation courses on the Basque coast. Family property since 1150, the brother Guy and Jean d’Arcangues decided to transform a few agricultural acres into a golf course. At the end of the eighties, driven by the enthusiasm and passion of a sport, they started creating the golf, and nothing was to stop them.

THE COURSE

18 HOLES – 70 HECTARES – 5285 METERS – 72 PAR

Located in the heart of the Basque Country with a stunning view on the Pyrenees, the Golf d’Arcangues will attract players of all levels.

After having made the most of the Basque country side on the first part of the course, on your way back you will play three holes around the Arcangues Castle, before going along the famous cemetery where Luis Mariano is buried. After the efforts made to get to the green of hole 16 you will be rewarded by a beautiful landscape giving on the Rhune and the Atlantic Ocean.

SHORT GAME CENTER

Drawn by Olivier Léglise, and set up in internally by the team of the Golf d’Arcangues, this is a unique centre in the Basque Country to work on your short game in a fun way. The players of the European Tour, trained by Olivier Léglise (Grégory Bourdy, Edouard Espana, Benjamin Hébert, Romain Wattel), and many more, train here regularly.
